Grassroots supporters of the Ron Paul 2008 Presidential campaign have joined forces with local musicians to create a political event unlike any other.
The Austin Liberty Ball will be held on Thursday, January 31st at Ruta Maya [3601 S. Congress - 78704] with the goal of garnering support for presidential candidate, Dr. Ron Paul. Along with the entertainment and fundraising aspects of the show, the event will also be used to distribute information on how each individual can become involved at a precinct level.
Speakers to include Ronnie Paul (Dr. Paul’s eldest son), and Paul Davis (organizer of the 1,272 strong Ron Paul Austin MeetUp group). Music will be performed by SXSW 2008 showcasing artist, The Story Of and Golden Bear . Along with videos from the grassroots movement, the evening will be MC'ed by GCN Radio personality Jack Blood.
The Texas Ron Paul Revolution is an independent grassroots campaign started in March of 2007, coincidental with Congressman Ron Paul's candidacy for nomination in the Republican Presidential primaries. Ron Paul is a medical doctor and a 10-term Congressman from CD-14, in Southeast Texas and is seeking the Republican nomination for the 2008 Presidential election.
This event is a grassroots effort and is not associated with the Official Ron Paul campaign.
